Resiliency & Capacity Building
Before, During & After Disaster

Professionally helping churches, individuals and leaders with tools to glean resiliency, build capacity for survivors of natural disasters, child & vulnerable adults who have been endangered or abused.

Aid in developing crisis, trauma and self-care ministries within their organizations in order to become a safe haven for survivors of natural disasters, also those in vulnerable life threatening situations (domestic abuse, human trafficking).

Building capacity and compassionate care for missions involving community leaders, overseas missionaries, veterans, 1st & 2nd responders and those in danger of vicarious trauma as a result of working in high stress and trauma vocations. Helping set up debrief teams within your local body and/or congregations.

Identity, Image & Inner Healing

Who am I, Why am I here? What is my purpose for being here?

As you most likely know, we are seeing epidemic identity issues that are causing crisis, trauma and terror everywhere. Healing mankind’s broken relationship with God is the only way these issues can be resolved. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. There is no other way to solve the problem of having a broken identity.

Scripture tells us; “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.” I Peter 2:10

Through salvation, God has also restored an individual’s identity, plan and purpose in the earth, for those who are born again. This is why we used image and identity as our first teaching in our International Women

's Leaders and Discipleship training in our Freedom PowWows. We currently have interactive craft books available in three languages: English, Swahili and Spanish.

Relationship Building & Spiritual Mentoring

Relationship building exercises, soaking prayer & individual mentoring/mothering.

We also offer training for those who would like to become Freedom PowWow Leaders and do their own Freedom PowWows, both nationally and internationally.

Suicide, Divorce, Grief & Loss

About one person in 5,000–15,000 dies by suicide every year (1.4% of all deaths), with a reported global rate of 10.7 per 100,000 population in 2015 (was 11.6 in 2008).

U.S. Divorce Rate per 1000 Married Women:

Currently, the divorce rate per 1000 married women is 16.9. ... Almost 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce or separation. 7. Researchers estimate that 41 percent of all first marriages end in divorce.

Grief & Loss:

“Grief turns out to be a place none of us know until we reach it… Nor can we know ahead of the fact … the unending absence that follows, the void, the very opposite of meaning, the relentless succession of moments during which we will confront the experience of meaninglessness itself.”

(p. 188–9) Joan Didion The Year of Magical Thinking (1)

Some of the emotions you may be experiencing from the above situations are sadness, loneliness, grief, abandonment, rejection, guilt, shame, helplessness, fear and anger.

Tools for Suicide Prevention:

If you are a teacher, parent or guardian of a teenager, there is a very great mental health training that helps give some capacity building tools to detect signs of mental health issues in teens.

Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive

Mental, Emotional, & Spiritual Abuse Care

All believers should want and know about Jesus and The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is for all Christians to obey! The reality is that all Christians are to serve in this way, not just vocational ministers. Charles Spurgeon once said, “Every Christian is either a missionary or an impostor.”

1 Peter 3:15-16- “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”

Many times individuals do not grow, mature and fulfill their callings as disciples due to mental, emotional or spiritual hindrances. Our team can help you grow, mature and develop meaningful and Christ-centered relationships without being abused or falling into repeated patterns of toxic relationships or performance based organizations.

If you have fallen prey to emotional, physical, mental or spiritual abuse you may or may not be able to develop an intimate relationship with others and especially God. We are here to help you become victorious, rebuild trust and break the pattern of falling into these types of relationships again and again.

Pastoral & Spiritual Care

Pastoral care includes the non-religious and is meant to help those who are both believers in Jesus Christ, and those who need unconditional love, wise counsel, and someone to help during times of stress, crisis, trauma or abuse. I also include leading others to make good and healthy decisions regarding their families, spouses, careers and during times of needing help and support walking others through life threatening, disasters or medical emergencies.
